Connection Reset error message?

Ive been getting this error message when i try to do a search on yahoo and when i try to visit websites like carmax. The error is happening in google chrome and Mozilla Firefox. This is the message Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): The connection was reset. I have tried clearing my cache and cookies and all that. I have used a malware scanner and virus scanners and they have come up empty. Can anyone help?
