Sims 2 won't install "TSdata\Res\Sound\Voice5.packa… HELP?

I bought sims 2 (original) on amazon. Used-like new. i don't see any scratches on the disks. i tried installing it and it only gets to 17%. It says it can't transfer a media file err whtever into TSdata\Res\Sound\Voice5.package. a lot of ppl have this problem... but every1 keeps saying that the disk is dirty er scratched. its not... so plz gimme a real answer. i have windows vista...a lap top. plz help i wanna play this game. it's the only sims tht is SUPPOSED ta work on my laptop except for the sims stories series. sims 2 double deluxe version does not work and neither does sims 3. but according to canyourunit.com sims 2 passes with flying colors. plz help!
