Why are unions so greedy?

1979 the ohio valley wheeling pitt steel. The company wants concessions to upgrade steel mills to compete with japan. the union says they will strike. the company says strike and we are shutting down old inefficient plants. the union strikes the plants close 180,000 jobs lost in that winter because of union greed. the area is a ghost land now.
