Being single for 2 years is that good?

Err ok i dated this dude for like 3 months it was on and off again long story short I turned out to realize that i don't like being "settled" down with someone i was just looking at what i had which was him but i didnt "love" him i was 16! anyways, umm well i quit my old job which is where i met the dude & got a new one, after seeing how i dated a dude i thought i would have better luck, i like this dude (it's been over 2 years liking this guy) & well i thought i had a chance but apparently i'm the "best friend type" wtf really? not even one chance, so yea my real question is if it's normal to be single for 2 years? oh n ive tried other things like talking to other dudes n again i'm the friend type but surprisingly im really good at taking rejection cause they become like even better friends! except for the dude ive liked for 2 years well yea that's it :|
